Chinese delegation calls on RPF Secretary General

A delegation from the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) paid a courtesy call on the Secretary General of RPF Inkotanyi, Francois Ngarambe with whom they discussed cooperation between the two countries.

The delegation, which is in the country for a four-day working visit, was led to the meeting with the SG held at the RPF General Secretariat in Rusororo, by the Association’s Vice President, Lin Yi.

At the centre of the discussion was the initiative to develop a formal city-to-city cooperation between Chinese and Rwandan cities, which is set to benefit the peoples of the two countries.

During the meeting, SG Ngarambe appreciate the concept – which the Chinese are working on with the Ministry of Local Government – adding that such programme should be reinforced by the existing ties between the ruling parties of the two countries and the warm relations between the heads of state and the two countries.

The four-day visit in the country, the delegation is also expected to visit different entities as well as to meet with local government leaders to discuss cooperation and sharing experience on governance; promotion and management of sister-city cooperation; and promotion of cultural and people exchanges.
