RPF-Inkotanyi youth cadres urged to embrace patriotism

Members of the ruling RPF-Inkotanyi who belong to the youth league have been encouraged to embrace the culture of volunteerism to be able to play a more meaningful role in helping the country achieve its development aspirations.

This call was made by Hon Wellars Gasamagera, the Secretary General of RPF-Inkotanyi while presiding over the opening of a one-day cadreship training session that brought together youth representatives of the party from different sectors.

The training which took place on Saturday, at the party headquarters in Rusororo, Gasabo District, aimed educating the youth about the party's history and its role in nation building after the Genocide against the Tutsi.

“The duty to ensure the party delivers on its mandate is a collective one and acquiring a cadreship training like this is not an end in itself but to put in practice what they learn in such training is a personal choice and should be deliberate,” he told the young party members.

He challenged the youth to leverage ICT to spur national development and Africa at large, and to put their country and its people at the core of their business.

In conclusion, the SG reminded the participants that: "We want to do it and we can. We are convinced and we will do it”. He urged them to be both enthusiastic and committed to achieving national goals.

The one-day workshop took stock of the role of the young party cadres in building the nation we want as enshrined in Vision 2050 and featured different panel discussions by party cadres.
